Long Beach, Calif. – Splitting a California road trip, the Memphis women's tennis team dropped the latter half of the pair to Long Beach State on Tuesday. The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Tigers.

After a rain delay that pushed the start of the match back multiple hours, the Tigers struggled to regroup in singles play.

Memphis was able to rally and produce in doubles play, taking all three courts. Claire Sullivan and Monique Woog picked up a 6-3 win, followed by another 6-3 finish from Katherine Cao and Aran Teixido Garca. Alisha Reayer and Hannah Davies capped off the match with a 7-5 win on Court 1.

The Tigers remain on the road for one more match, facing UNLV on Friday. Match time against the Running Rebels is set for 12 p.m.
