Women's Tennis takes both parts of double-header Sunday

Tigers defeated SEMO and Lipscomb in home debut
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's tennis took both matches of its home double-header Sunday afternoon at the Eldon Roark Tennis Center. The wins move the Tigers back to .500, as the team now sits at 3-3.
The Tigers opened the morning against Southeast Missouri State, taking control from the onset. Memphis took the doubles point after sweeping all three courts.
Momentum continued to be in favor of the home team, as five of the six singles courts took victories in straight sets. Courts 3 through 6 lost a combined four games in the domination of the Redhawks.
With the weather in top form, the afternoon match was able to be moved outdoors. Against the Bisons, the Tigers continued their excellent play, taking the doubles point again.
Memphis continued to apply pressure to Lipscomb, taking singles courts in straight sets on three of the four courts that finished to clinch the second win of the day.
The Tigers hit the road again, heading to Florida for a two-game slate against Florida Atlantic and FIU next weekend.
