Men's Tennis faces Vanderbilt, Harvard over weekend

Tigers play Commodores Friday, Crimson Saturday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The men's tennis team is back in action this weekend, playing a pair of matches in Nashville, Tenn. The Tigers will first face Vanderbilt on Friday before battling Ivy League opponent Harvard on Saturday.
Memphis is set to face the Commodores at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon before a 1 p.m. start time against Harvard. The Tigers will face the Crimson for the fifth-straight year on Saturday.
The Tigers hope to rally after a 4-0 defeat against Oklahoma State last Saturday. Jan Pallares showed a strong game against the Cowboys, taking the first set against the 41st-ranked player in the country with a convincing 6-3 set before leaving the match incomplete.
Vanderbilt enters the weekend 4-1 on the year, having won two straight matches. Most recently, the Commodores bested Middle Tennessee 4-1 on Jan. 31. After surrendering the doubles point, Vandy rebounded in singles play, taking three straight-set wins before a final win on Court 5 clinched the match.
Harvard visits Nashville with a 6-0 record, having only given up points in two matches. The Ivy League program will face Memphis after winning its last two matches with shutout performances.
