Men's tennis opens home schedule against Temple

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's tennis opens its home schedule with a conference match against Temple on Sunday. Game time against the Owls is set for 11 a.m. at MUS.

Most recently, the Tigers completed a sweep of Mississippi Valley State on Friday. The wins snapped a five-match losing streak for Memphis.

Last season, Memphis took a 5-2 win over the Owls, taking the doubles point and four singles courts. Current Tigers David Stevenson, Oscar Cutting and Patrick Sydow took wins in their respective singles matches last year.

The Temple Owls visit Memphis with a 4-3 record, having dropped their last outing at Penn. The loss to Penn snapped a four-game winning streak.

Temple's match against the Tigers is the second conference match of its season, having defeated UConn at the end of January by way of a 7-0 sweep.
