Women's tennis faces Auburn in battle of Tigers on Sunday

Tigers look to continue momentum after last week's win over UT Martin
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's tennis resumes action after a week off as the Tigers head to Auburn, Ala., to face the Tigers of Auburn. Match time at the Yarbrough Tennis Center is set for 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Previously, the Tigers picked up their first win of the season, defeating UT Martin in a 4-0 match. Memphis used quick wins on doubles to claim point number one, before three straight-set wins on singles courts earned the team win.
Auburn last participated in the ITA Kickoff Weekend, dropping its first match against No. 2 North Carolina before winning its consolation match against Columbia.
Though the Tigers dropped the doubles point to Columbia, a rally in singles would propel the team to its third win of the year. Three of the four singles wins came in straight sets.
Auburn will face Georgia State and Alabama A&M on Saturday before taking on Memphis on Sunday.
