
Memphis’ Calvin Austin III, Quindell Johnson make weekly AAC Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis wide receiver Calvin Austin III and defensive back Quindell Johnson have been named to the weekly American Athletic Conference Honor Roll following their performance in Saturday's 35-21 loss at Tulane.
Austin III had more than 100 receiving yards for the sixth time in the last seven games. The junior had five receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown, including a 59-yard touchdown catch for the Tigers' first score of the game.
Johnson, a New Orleans native, had an interception and a forced fumble in his first collegiate game in his hometown. He also had six tackles. Johnson was the AAC Defensive Player of the Week last week after having 12 tackles and an interception in a 10-7 victory over Navy on Nov. 28.
Memphis will conclude its regular season this Saturday against Houston at the Liberty Bowl. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. on ESPN+.
