Memphis to face UCF at 2:30 p.m. on ABC national telecast Oct. 17

MEMPHIS — The Oct. 17 game between the University of Memphis and UCF, presented by FedEx, is set to kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT in Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium and will be nationally televised on ABC.
The matchup features two American Athletic Conference powerhouses. Memphis (1-1, 0-1 The American) and UCF (2-1, 1-1) have combined to win the past three conference championships, facing each other in the 2017 and 2018 conference title games.
The Tigers lost on a field goal in the final seconds at SMU 30-27 last Saturday in their first game since a season-opening win Sept. 5 over Arkansas State. Memphis erased a 21-point deficit against the Mustangs and tied the game at 27 in the fourth quarter.
The Golden Knights are also coming off their first loss of the season after falling 34-26 to Tulsa in Orlando on Saturday.
Oct. 16-17 also marks the first weekend this season all 11 teams in The American are scheduled to be in action.
