Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth at Kentucky

Dawson finishes tied for 11th.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – With a third round 296, the University of Memphis women's golf team finished eighth at the 30th annual Bettie Lou Evans Invitational Sunday. The team's 897 was good for a three stroke edge over Indianapolis. Host Kentucky claimed their second consecutive team title with an 859 over the three-day event.
Ana Dawson led Memphis with a 219 (+3) to finish tied for 11th overall, her second top 20 finish of the three-event season.

T29 – Abby Herrmann – 225 (82-75-68)
T44 – Victoria England – 228 (74-76-78)

Herrmann With Another Third Round 68 at Kentucky
At this same event in the fall of 2018, Abby Herrmann carded her low collegiate round, a 68, in the third round. History repeated itself on Sunday as the senior tied her collegiate record for low round with another 68. The record round helped her jump 32 spots in the final standings to a top 30 finish (T29, 225).
Individual Honors
Indianapolis' Pilar Echeverria finished -2 (70) on Sunday to claim individual medalist honors at 211. She finished two strokes ahead of Rutgers' Carrie-Ann Lee, whose third round 67 was the low round of the day, Penn State's Sarah Willis and Tulane's Carlota Palacios.
Next Up
It will be a couple of weeks before the Lady Tigers are back on the competition course. Memphis' next event will be the three-day Magnolia Invitational, Oct. 13-15.
