Women's Golf Completes Day One at Magnolia Invitational

Schedule will change with inclement weather expected Tuesday; teams will now play 36 holes Monday.

The opening day of the Magnolia Invitational concluded Sunday and Memphis stands 11th (321) at the end of the opening round. LSU leads the field with a day on 289 (+1) while Auburn's Megan Schofill leads the field with a day one 69 (-3).

Memphis' Scorers
Victoria England led the Memphis entry with an opening round 77 (+5). England had some familiarity with the course already after playing in the U.S. Women's Amateur back in July.

Schedule Change
The tournament organizers announced a schedule change for the remainder of the event. With rain projected for Tuesday, teams will now play 36 holes on Monday to conclude the 2019 event. Instead of tee times starts on Monday, the tournament will now go with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Memphis will be paired with players from conference foe USF as well as individuals not competing on a team entry. The Lady Tigers will begin their days off holes 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.
