MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Area Toyota Dealers have teamed up with the Memphis Athletic Department to unveil the "Paving the Path" Program for the upcoming football season. For each rushing yard the Tigers gain, the Memphis Area Toyota Dealers will make a donation to the Tiger Scholarship Fund (TSF). The Tiger Scholarship Fund is responsible for fund-raising scholarship monies for close to 400 student-athletes each academic year.
"We appreciate the Memphis Area Toyota Dealers' support of the Tigers," said Todd Kucinski, general manager for Tiger Sports Properties, Memphis Athletics' longtime multimedia rightsholder. "This new 'Paving a Path' program is designed as a give back to the Tiger Scholarship Fund, and we're grateful to the Memphis Area Toyota Dealers for their overall commitment to community, as well as to the university's athletics programming. It's going to be a fun season."
At the end of the season, the Memphis Area Toyota Dealers will have a check presentation to the school.
"We are honored to be partnering with the Memphis Area Toyota Dealers in this unique partnership that provides scholarship support to our nearly 400 student-athletes," said Dr. Adam Walker, Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director of the Tiger Scholarship Fund. "This sets a new standard for other community partnership opportunities."
