Tigers Tidbits
- Davon DeMoss set the school record in the men's 100 meters, finishing ninth in a time of 10.05 seconds. DeMoss missed advancing to Friday's 100 meters final by .03 seconds.
- Davon DeMoss broke the previous 100 meters record by .15 seconds. Two Tigers – Ed Hammonds in 1973 and Willie Green in 2006 – shared the record at 10.20 seconds.
- Davon DeMoss, who earned All-America second team honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March, took home second team accolades from the NCAA outdoor meet Wednesday. He becomes the first sprinter in program history to be an All-American in both the indoor and outdoor seasons in the same year.
- Davon DeMoss earned two All-America second team honors Wednesday, with one coming in the men's 100 meters and the other in the men's 4x100-meter relay. He is the first Tigers sprinter to win at least two All-America honors in the same NCAA outdoor meet since Terron Wright did so in 1981.
- Calvin Austin III took home the second All-America honor of his career Wednesday. He was a member of the Tigers' All-America second team 4x100-meter relay. At the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships, Austin ran a leg on the All-America honorable mention 4x400-meter relay.
- Andrew Bishop (men's 4x100m relay), Imri Persiado (men's 4x100m relay) and Julian Sanchez-Pinto (men's 3000m steeplechase) all earned their first career All-America honors.
