Fletcher Jumps in NCAA Championship Standings

Final round teeing off at 10:55 a.m. for Fletcher, Monday.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A second round 75 (+2) helped senior women's golfer Michaela Fletcher jump 15 spots in the individual standings at the end of the second round of the NCAA Championships Sunday. The round was extended after the first half of the field had their play suspended due to storms on Saturday that ended the afternoon of play.
After a bogey on one,, Fletcher birdied seven and hit the turn at +1 after a bogey on eight. She quickly got back to even with a birdie on 10, a 525-yard par five hole, then picked up bogeys on 12 and 15 to end her day at +2. Her 156 has her tied for 66thoverall heading into the final round of stroke play on Monday.
Florida's Sierra Brooks recorded the low round of the day, a 67, to take the individual lead at -4 (142). Arkansas' Maria Fassi and Arizona's Bianca Pagdanganan are a stroke back at 143 (-3). In total, there are just five players at par or below in the field.
Duke fired a 281 (-11) on Sunday to jump four spots in the standings and take the team lead at 586 (+2). USC (595) and Texas (596) are in second and third, respectively, and host Arkansas is tied with defensing national champs Arizona at fourth with 598's.
The final round of stroke play gets underway at 7 a.m., Monday. Fletcher will tee off at 7:55. off the first 10th tee and is teamed with Xavier's Mikayla Fitzpatrick and Oregon State's Ellie Slama.
