Durham tabbed to The American's Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following a career-best outing, Memphis pitcher Chris Durham was listed to this week's American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

In the series finale against Southern, Durham threw 6.2 innings in the 10-1 series-clinching victory, allowing just one run and matching a career-best of nine strikeouts.

The 6.2 innings also marked his longest start of the season and his second consecutive quality start. The junior now holds a 2-1 mark.

Durham, who gave up three of his seven hits allowed in the opening frame, found his groove on the mound in the second inning. The Collierville, Tenn., native retired 17 of the next 20 batters, induced a double play and registered seven strikeouts over the remainder of the outing.

Memphis (16-14, 3-3) will return to the diamond Friday at UConn for its second road series in league play. First pitch on Friday's series opener is slated for 2 p.m. (CT).
