Women's Basketball Adds Jennifer Parker To 2019-20 Roster

Parker joins the Tigers after a NJCAA Final Four appearance
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head coach Melissa McFerrin and the University of Memphis women's basketball team announced Monday that Jennifer Parker, a junior college transfer from Trinity Valley Community College, is the seventh addition to the 2019 signing class. Parker is nationally-ranked as the 10th-best JUCO post player per the Dan Olson Report.

Parker, the 28th-best overall player in JUCO per Dan Olson, spent her sophomore year at Trinity Valley Community College under the direction of Gerald Ewing. This past season, Parker helped lead her team to the NJCAA Final Four and a 29-5 overall record.

With 7.6 rebounds per game including 10 contests with at least 10 boards, Parker led her Trinity Valley squad. She also contributed a team-leading 1.1 blocks per game and finished the season with 35 steals and 4.5 points per game at a clip of 47.9 percent.

In her team's NJCAA Final Four contest against Gulf Coast State College, Parker pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds in 30 minutes of action for the Cardinals. Against Blinn College in an 88-52 victory, Parker registered her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. She also added a career-high seven blocks in that victory.
