Penny Hardaway Basketball Camps will tip off in June

MEMPHIS, Tenn. ā University of Memphis men's basketball coach Penny Hardaway has announced his month-long run of basketball camps, which begin June 1 and run through June 27 at various locations on the school's campus.

This year's camp schedule will include two new offerings, a Middle School Elite Camp on Saturday, June 1 and a Father/Son Camp on Saturday, June 15.
The one-day Middle School Elite Camp will be held at the Laurie-Walton Family Basketball Center for those entering the 7th and 8th grades. Cost is $50 per camper.

The Team Camp will be held June 4-5 for high school age boys at three locations: the Larry O. Finch Center, the Student Recreation and Fitness Center and the Laurie-Walton Family Basketball Center. The cost for the Team Camp will be $250 (for three games) and $500 (for six games).

On June 8, a High School Elite Camp will be held at the Laurie-Walton Family Basketball Center for boys in grades 9 to 12. This camp is designed to challenge and prepare the college-bound player. Members of the UofM coaching staff will instruct. The cost for the one-day camp is $50.

The first of the Day Camps will be held June 10-13 for boys age 8 to 17 at the Finch Center and the Student Recreation and Fitness Center. The cost for the Day Camp will be $250. These sessions are intended to improve a camper's individual basketball skills and are open to all ability levels. Instruction is provided in a fun, positive atmosphere. Each day will include intense skill instruction from coach Hardaway and his staff. On the final day, the campers will be dismissed at noon following an awards ceremony.

On June 15, the first Father/Son Camp will be held. The cost is $150. The camp provides an opportunity for fathers and their sons to participate and learn together.

The camp schedule concludes June 24 to 27 with the second Day Camp for boys age 8 to 17 at the Finch Center. As with the first Day Camp, the cost is $250 and will include instruction from coach Hardaway and his staff.

The inaugural Game On Penny Hardaway Basketball Fantasy Experience, to be conducted Sept. 20-22, will have several options for fantasy campers: a Golfing Package, a Coaching Package and a Playing Package, all with perks including a dinner with Hardaway at his house.
