Women’s Golf Second Round Suspended Due to Darkness

WALLACE, N.C. – The University of Memphis women's golf team had its second round of competition suspended due to darkness at the River Landing Classic, Monday.

The Lady Tigers posted a first round 296 and were one of four teams tied for second at the end of the first round behind Middle Tennessee, who posted a 290 opening round.

Michaela Fletcher and Victoria Gallegos each have three holes remaining in their respective second round, while Sydney Colwill, Ana Dawson and Madison Thomas each have a pair of holes remaining.

Colwill capped her first round tied for fourth with an even round 72. Thomas and Fletcher were two strokes back and tied for 17^thwhile Gallegos was tied for 34^thwith a 76 (+4). Dawson carded an opening round 84 while Abby Herrmann, competing as an individual, scored a first round 79 (+7).

The second round will conclude on Tuesday morning and will be followed by the final round.
