Tigers senior guard recognized for sixth straight week for outstanding play.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For sixth consecutive week, University of Memphis senior point guard is being recognized by the American Athletic Conference. On Monday, Martin was named to the league's Weekly Honor Roll.

Martin scored 20 points and added six rebounds and six assists to lead the Tigers to a regular-season ending 66-63 victory Saturday over Tulsa at FedExForum. He has been either a member of the Weekly Honor Roll (Feb. 4, 11, 18, March 4, 11) or Player of the Week (Feb. 25) each of the past six weeks.

Martin is ranked 11^th on the school's career-scoring list and moved closer to entering the Top 10 on Saturday. He has scored 1,527 points, 18 shy of moving into the Top 10, and leads the conference in scoring with a 19.7 points-per-game average.

Martin will lead the Tigers into this week's league championship tournament at FedExForum. Memphis (19-12) will be the fifth seed and open against 12^th seed Tulane (4-26) at 2 p.m. Thursday.
