Clark Qualifies For NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – University of Memphis' Levi Clark qualified to shoot at the 2019 NCAA Rifle Championships Mar. 8-9 in Morgantown, W.Va., the national collegiate organization announced Tuesday. West Virginia University is hosting the national event.

It is the second-straight NCAA Championships appearance for Clark, who is shooting in smallbore again.

Tigers Tidbits

Levi Clark placed sixth in smallbore at last year's NCAA Championships. He shot a then career-high 585 to advance to the discipline's final, where he posted a 408.1 mark.
Levi Clark surpassed that 585 smallbore score in last year's NCAA Championships twice in 2018-19, including a career-best 588 mark in last weekend's NCAA Sectional Qualifier.
With Levi Clark's selection for smallbore, it is the fifth-straight season a Tiger shoots in the discipline at the NCAA Championships. Amy Fister was a smallbore competitor from 2015-17, and Makennon Doran also shot smallbore in 2017. Clark competed in smallbore last season.

The Tigers shoot in their final match this weekend when they travel to Akron, Ohio, for the 2019 Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) Championships. The action takes place at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range on the University of Akron campus Feb. 23.
