Tigers to play in 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis

Eight-team field includes Duke, Ohio State, Texas A&M and West Virginia

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis is headed back to the Bahamas.

After taking a foreign tour to Nassau during the summer, the Tigers will return next Thanksgiving to play in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis at Paradise Island. The eight-team field was announced Friday and will include Duke, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Wichita State.

Others in the field are Creighton (the UofM's second-round opponent in the 2019 National Invitation Tournament), Utah and West Virginia.

The 12-game, three-day tournament will be celebrating its 10^th year in 2020 and be played Nov. 25-27. This year's event included North Carolina, Oregon, Gonzaga, Michigan and Alabama.

The 16^th-ranked Tigers are 6-1 after defeating North Carolina State Thanksgiving Day at the Barclays Center Classic in Brooklyn, N.Y. The UofM plays Bradley at 8 p.m. Tuesday at FedExForum.
