Brady White garners additional weekly accolades

White named the TSWA Offensive Player of the Week
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The list of weekly accolades continues to grow for redshirt junior quarterback Brady White as he has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week.

In addition to his TSWA accolade and for the third time this season, White has been named one of the Davey O'Brien Foundation Great 8 quarterbacks as well as one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week.

White accounted for a career-high six touchdowns (five passing, one rushing) and threw for 341 yards in Memphis' 45-27 come from behind victory at Houston last Saturday. He has thrown for 28 touchdowns this season, bringing his career total to 54 touchdowns. He also became the fourth quarterback in program history to throw for 6,000 yards in their career.

His 341-yard performance marked the seventh career and fifth this season 300-yard passing game for White. He ranks in the top 10 nationally in yards per pass attempt (10.33), passing efficiency (184.0), yards per completion (15.33) and passing touchdowns (28). White is also a Top 5 Finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

Memphis hits the road to take on USF Saturday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. on ESPNU.
