Rifle Drops Decision To NC State

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis' Levi Clark posted an aggregate of 1172 on his Senior Day, but visiting NC State won the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) match by a 4675-4646 score.

The No. 17 Wolfpack took both disciplines over the No. 12 Tigers. NC State won the smallbore 2310-2300 and air rifle 2365-2346.

Clark shot his second-highest aggregate of the season with a 1172. He posted a season-best 584 in smallbore.

The Tigers go on the road to Fort Worth, Texas, this weekend for two matches. Memphis faces No. 2 TCU Saturday and then meets Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) foe Nebraska Sunday.

Tigers Tidbits

Levi Clark shot a 1170 aggregate or higher for the third time in five matches to date this season. He shot a season-high 1173 versus Navy Oct. 13 and also posted a 1170 in the Tiger Open Sept. 21.
Matt Dorey shot his third-straight match aggregate of 1160 or higher against NC State. He recorded a 1163 versus Army West Point Oct. 27, a 1165 (season-best) against West Virginia Nov. 3 and a 1162 versus NC State.
Mark Meyeraan posted his second-best marks of the season in smallbore (571), air rifle (581) and aggregate (1152).
