Memphis Football Back in Both National Polls

Tigers are 23 in AP poll and 20 in coaches' poll.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis football team is back in both the Associated Press and the Amway Coaches polls. At 5-0 on the year, the Tigers moved to number 20 in the coaches' poll after breaking into the rankings there last week.
Sunday also marked the team's entry into the Associated Press poll, coming in at number 23.
The last time the Tigers were ranked in both polls was the year-end poll in 2017. After the team's Liberty Bowl appearance against Iowa State, the team finished number 25 in the Associated Press poll and number 24 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.
After a 52-33 road win at UL Monroe to close non-conference play, Memphis is back on the road again this weekend, playing at Temple, Saturday, at 11 a.m. (CT). That game will be carried nationally on ESPN2.
Memphis returns home for its only home game in October the following weekend, welcoming West Division foe Tulane on Oct. 19th. That game will be Memphis' Cancer Awareness game. Tickets for the game at on sale now at www.GoTigersGoTix.com.
