Memphis Madness Thursday At FedExForum

Plaza festivities start at 4 p.m. (CT); doors open at 6 p.m. (CT).
MEMPHIS, Tenn. --Â The University of Memphis hosts Memphis Madness, presented by Ashley HomeStore, at FedExForum Thursday. The event features head coaches Penny Hardaway and Melissa McFerrin, the men's and women's basketball teams, live music on the plaza, spirit squads, Pouncer and The Mighty Sound of the South.
The day's festivities begin at 4 p.m. (CT) on FedExForum's Plaza with an outside DJ playing music followed by the Blue Carpet Party starting at 5 p.m. (CT).
Doors to FedExForum open at 6 p.m. (CT), and the first 2,500 fans will receive a free t-shirt, courtesy of Ashley HomeStore.
The on-court extravaganza tips off just before 7 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. (CT), to be exact – with the first of several special guest appearances throughout the evening. Fans are strongly encouraged to be in their seats.
Memphis Madness includes the introduction of the men's and women's teams, a skills challenge, slam dunk contest, men's scrimmage and a 3-point contest.
