Team posts a 2.907 grade-point average, highest in program history

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The men's basketball team's successes this season haven't been limited to the on-court performances. The team is prospering in the classroom, too.

During the recently completed fall semester, the Tiger basketball team posted a 2.907 grade-point average, the highest GPA in the program's history. The 2.907 GPA surpassed the previous best of 2.902 set last fall.

Seven Tigers finished with GPAs of 3.0 or higher. They were: Kyvon Davenport, Jayden Hardaway, Antwann Jones, Alex Lomax, Evin Olds, Mike Parks and David Wingett.

Two Tigers – freshmen Hardaway and Wingett – earned spots on the Dean's List (GPAs of 3.5 or higher).
