Hofmann Named To Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tigers goalkeeper Tyler Hofmann was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts this past week. Hofmann recorded his first shutout of the season in the 1-0 win over Fairleigh Dickinson.

Coupled with a strong defensive effort from the rest of the squad, Hofmann stopped both shots on target from the Knights. FDU's offense was limited throughout the match, only getting off four total shots.

This is the first time Hofmann has been honored by the conference. So far this season, Hofmann has played in two matches, splitting time with Parker Lackland. In 200 minutes between the posts, Hofmann has recorded five saves and earned a 1-0-1 record.

Memphis wraps up its five game road slate in Omaha, Neb., against Creighton and Utah Valley to cap the road stretch. The Tigers play the Bluejays on Friday before battling the Wolverines on Sunday.
