Tigers seek to extend win streak to nine matches

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – No. 16/20 Memphis men's tennis kicks off a five-match home stand to close the regular season, beginning with a Friday morning contest against Jackson State.

First serve is set for 11 a.m. at the Racquet Club of Memphis. Admission to all U of M home tennis matches is free.

The Tigers (13-4, 2-0) return to Memphis following a 5-2 win at LSU on Sunday. The victory extended the team's win streak to eight matches, which is tied for eighth-most in program history. Despite dropping the opening doubles point, Ryan Peniston, Andrew Watson, Kai Lemke, Chris Patzanovsky and Jan Pallares turned in singles wins.

Memphis checks in at No. 16 in this week's Oracle/ITA team rankings, which is the highest weekly ranking in program history. The Tigers also feature a pair of ranked singles players in No. 36 Ryan Peniston and No. 91 Andrew Watson. The duo also team up as the No. 37 doubles tandem in the country.

Following Friday's match, the Tigers host USF and UCF next weekend to resume conference play.
