Tigers set for Mississippi State, Stephen F. Austin

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis' women's tennis team will close a nine-match road swing with a matchup at Mississippi State Saturday afternoon before hosting Stephen F. Austin on Sunday morning at the Racquet Club of Memphis.
Saturday's first serve against the Bulldogs (7-2) is slated for noon, while Sunday's meeting with the Ladyjacks (0-5) is scheduled for 9 a.m.
In their last outing, the Tigers (6-4) split a pair of matches against Minnesota and Missouri last weekend. Senior Anki Wind continued her torrid play, recording a 3-1 record and garnering American Athletic Conference player of the week honors. Wind swept a pair of singles matches to increase her spring record to 8-1.
Despite setbacks in doubles play last weekend, Tiger duos Claire Sullivan and Josephine Cao along with Hanna Sohn and Katherine Cao boast 7-2 records each in dual match play.
Mississippi State split its first four matches of the spring season before hitting stride with a five-match win streak. The Bulldogs most recently swept a double header against Southeastern Louisiana and Southern University last Thursday before capping the weekend with a 4-1 win against Georgia State on Saturday.
Khrystyna Vozniak remains undefeated in singles play with a 7-0 ledger, while duo Magda Adaloglou and Janina Braun are in the midst of a six-match win streak in doubles action for the Bulldogs.
Stephen F. Austin is in search of its first win of the young season. The Ladyjacks fell to Northeastern State, 4-3, in its lone match last weekend. Gabi Guilarte and Sian Payne are out to a 3-0 start in doubles play, while Payne is seeking to build on a pair of wins in singles.
Memphis seeks to close the gap in the all-time series with the Bulldogs, as Mississippi State holds a 16–8 advantage. The Tigers hold a 6-0 lead against Stephen F. Austin in the all-time series against the Ladyjacks.
