Memphis Hosts Little Rock in Friday Morning Matchup

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis continues its December home stand with a Friday morning match-up against the Little Rock Trojans. Friday's tip-off is slated for 11 a.m., at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.

Memphis (4-6) vs. Little Rock (3-6)

The Tigers welcome Little Rock after a 69-57 win over Southeast Missouri Monday evening. Backed by Alana Davis' career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds, Memphis used a strong second half to build and protect a double-digit victory. Taylor Barnes contributed double-figure scoring as well, chipping in 13 points off the bench.
Davis leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest. Her outing against SEMO marked the fifth double-double of the season, and the ninth of her young career. She continues to climb the ranks of Memphis' double-double list, and now sits tied for 20th on the list.
Two other Tigers score in double-figures on the season, with Jamirah Shutes averaging 12.9 points and Barnes contributing 10.9 points per outing.
Scouting the Trojans
The Trojans head to Memphis after a 63-53 win over AAC member Tulsa on Monday. Ronjanae DeGray led the team in scoring with 19 points, while two other Trojans scored in double-digits.
On the season, Kyra Collier leads the team in scoring, netting 13 points per game. Little Rock is a team that forces turnovers at a high clip, turning opponents over 19 times per game, including seven steals per game.
The Trojans have faced a tough non-conference schedule to date, having already played four Power 5 schools this season. Little Rock is led by head coach Joe Foley.
