GREENVILLE, N.C. – University of Memphis' Kelsea Bivins had a team-high 13 kills, but it wasn't enough as ECU won Friday's American Athletic Conference encounter 3-0.

The Pirates won the match by scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-21. Memphis falls to 11-17 overall and 4-12 in the league. ECU improves to 13-14 overall and 5-11 in the conference.

The 13-kills performance was Bivins' 10thdouble-digit match in her last 12 outings.

"This match could have gone either way tonight. It was back-and-forth, but we didn't make the necessary plays at the end of the set. You have to finish when you get the chance on the road. We will have to defend better against Cincinnati on Sunday."

- Molly Murrihy had 26 assists vs. ECU and now has 976 assists this season. When she reaches 1,000 assists this season, she will be the first Tigers setter to do so since 2014.

- Memphis jumped out to an early 4-2 advantage.
- Kelsea Bivins and Kelsey Walter each logged a kill in the opening run.
- The Pirates responded with a 10-5 spurt to take a 12-9 lead midway through the set.
- ECU pushed out to a 13-10 lead before a 4-0 Memphis run gave the Tigers a 14-13 advantage.
- Four-consecutive ECU errors allowed the Tigers to grab the lead.
