Freshman helped Tigers set a conference match record for aces this season.
Natalie Benson is today's Memphis volleyball "Get To Know Me." A freshman from Bradley, Ill., Benson has seen action in nine matches to date in 2018. Benson is a libero/defensive specialist and has 18 digs this season, including a career-best six against Stephen F. Austin. In a Sept. 8 victory over North Alabama, Benson served a career-high six aces and helped the Tigers set an American Athletic Conference match record for three games with 14 aces.
Before coming to the Bluff City, Benson was a two-time Kankakee Daily Journal All-Area performer (2016, 2017). As a senior in 2017, she was named team MVP in helping lead Bradley-Bourbonnais High School to a 28-7 record and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 4A state regional semifinals.
