Memphis continues its conference homestand next weekend at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Tigers welcome Houston to the Bluff City for a 7 p.m. (CT) match Oct. 12 and then host SMU in a 1 p.m. (CT) match Oct. 14. Admission is free.
Head coach Sean Burdette comments
"Early on, we had some great connections. Molly (Murrihy) made some phenomenal choices and put our hitters in very good positions. More than anything, we had good ball control. We passed the ball well and defended well. It's hard to stop us at times, but unfortunately, we stop ourselves like we did tonight when we headed into the second set.
"In the second set, Tulane did a great job of serving. They moved the ball around, and we didn't react well. They won those four-straight points (at the start of the second set), and that changed the mood of the set."
