Memphis Men’s Soccer Travels to Tulsa

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tigers hit the road this weekend for a conference matchup against Tulsa. First touch at Hurricane Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Memphis Tigers
Memphis will face Tulsa after dropping a 3-0 decision to SMU in its last outing. Despite having 16 shots in the match, the Tigers were unable to find the back of the net.
Seven Memphis players have scored a goal this season, including four that have scored multiple times. Peyton McKnatt, David Zalzman and Chris Mikus lead the team with three goals apiece. Seven Tigers have also recorded an assist, led by Alexandros Ierides' three. Goalkeeper Tyler Hofmann is third in the AAC in goals against average, allowing just 0.89 scores per outing.

Tulsa hosts the Tigers after defeating Cincinnati by way of a 1-0 score. Freshman forward Gilles Kuhler scored the lone goal of the match, netting one in the 75th minute.
Kuhler leads Tulsa in goals scored, having put four balls in the back of the net. Three members of the squad lead the team in assists, recording three apiece. Between the pipes, Cooper Clark and Bryson Reed split time, and have combined to record 57 saves compared to 20 goals allowed.
The Golden Hurricane is led by head coach Tom McIntosh, now in his 24th season. As head coach of his alma mater, McIntosh has led his team to 10 NCAA tournaments.
