Women’s Golf In Action Monday and Tuesday

MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's golf team has just one regular season event left and gets underway Monday at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate beginning at 9 a.m. (ET). The Lady Tigers will play 36 holes on Monday at the Pinetree Country Club in Georgia.
The 6,032-yard course will be home to a number of tough collegiate women's golf teams. Five teams of the participating teams are currently in the top 50 (No. 13 Kent State, No. 24 Purdue, No. 35 Texas Tech, and No. 45 Augusta) and six others, including No. 70 Memphis, are in the top 100. There will be 14 total teams in the event.
The first two rounds will play foursomes and Memphis will be paired with players from Illinois, Maryland and host Kennesaw State. Memphis will go off at 9 a.m. in the shotgun start from holes six through 10.
Memphis has a team entry and one individual competing in the event. The team entry includes Michaela Fletcher, Madison Thomas, Sydney Colwill, Emily Goldenstein and Leighann Cabush. Senior Andrea Cropper has also made the trip to Georgia and will compete as an individual.
