MEMPHIS – Quarterback Riley Ferguson and wide receiver Anthony Miller have been invited to the 62nd Annual Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards, Saturday. The annual banquet is held in Columbus, Ohio, and honors players projected to be national standouts in 2017.
Ferguson's first season at Memphis was a record-setting one, as the junior from Matthews, N.C., passed for 3,698 yards and a school-record 32 touchdowns in 2016. Ferguson was second in the American Athletic Conference with 284.5 yards passing per game and with a 152.6 passer efficiency rating.

Miller ranked fourth in the American with 7.3 catches per game and second in receiving yards per game (110.3). He caught two touchdowns in the final 3:49 of the game to give Memphis a 34-30 win over #18/21 ranked Houston in Memphis' final home game last season, then had three touchdowns in Memphis' Boca Raton Bowl game.
