Men's Golf Tied for Fourth at Quail Valley

Brad Bawden tied for first overall through two rounds.
MEMPHIS – The Memphis men's golf team is tied for fourth at the end of day one at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational at Vero Beach in Florida, Monday. Memphis is tied for fourth with Louisville following a day one 562.
Junior Brad Bawden is tied for the individual lead through 36 holes. He followed an opening round 68 with a 66 in the second round to card a 134 (-10) through the first day of the event.
Chase Harris followed up his opening round 72 with a 69. His 141 (-3) is good for a tie for 24th overall at the end of day one.
Rodi Vlasveld also finished the first day under par with a 143 (67-76) for a -1 score on Monday that has him tied for 38th overall.
Borja Martin is +4 through the opening day. He shaved eight strokes off his opening round 78 with a second round 70 for a tie for 59th.
Colin Dubnik was the final Memphis golfer in the two rounds of competition. He carded a 74-79 = 153 (+9).
USF leads the tournament field following a day one 552 (279-273). Notre Dame (558) and Maryland (561) are second and third through the opening rounds. Louisville and Memphis are tied at 562 (-14) for fourth overall.
Memphis will be paired with players from Louisville and ULM for the final round. Shotgun tee times begin at 8 a.m. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
