Head coach April Jauregui
"The outcome today is still not what we wanted, but our energy, effort and fight for each other was the best I have seen to this point. If we keep building on that and learn the necessary lessons of what it means to put in work every single day, every practice, every point, we will continue to make progress with this young team. As a coach, all we ask is that they bring their best effort every single match and focus on the process of the day in front of them, and we did that today."

Tigers Tidbits
- Brianna Kadiku's eight total blocks were a season-best. The eight blocks were one shy of tying her career-best of nine blocks, which she set twice in 2016. It was her ninth match of 2017 in which she had five or more blocks.
- Freshman Daija Lowe posted a season-best six total blocks vs. Cincinnati. Her previous-high was four total blocks vs. Bradley Aug. 25 and at Connecticut Sept. 22.
- Despite playing with a wrap for an upper leg injury, redshirt freshman Natale Zanellato recorded a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs. It was her first double-double performance of the season.
- Zanellato's 11 digs were a season-best. Her 10 kills Sunday give her seven double-figures kills matches this season.
- Sophomore Tai Bierria had 10 kills for her ninth double-digit kills match of 2017, and her fourth in the last seven matches.
- Freshman Hannah Flowers missed her fifth-straight match (sick).
