Women’s Tennis Closing Regular Season on the Road

Tigers finishing season at UAB and Tulane.
MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team will close out the 2016 regular season with a road trip to UAB, Friday, and a conference trip to New Orleans to face Tulane, Sunday.
UAB is 7-13 on the year and will be playing their final home match of the year on Friday afternoon when Memphis comes to town. The Blazers are coming off a match against another American Athletic Conference foe, falling 4-0 at UCF.
Two days later, the Tigers will again be the senior day opposition, this time in New Orleans at Tulane. The Green Wave (5-13) have won four of their five matches at home and will have three seniors honored on Sunday.
Freshman Janina Berres and senior Kathryn Hughes each won their last match. Berres is 4-3 in the last 10 outs with three matches not completed and has teamed with sophomore Hanna Sohn to play one doubles.
Memphis is looking to build momentum before the American Athletic Conference comes to town for the league championships, Apr. 20-24th at MUS.
Admission for all American Athletic Conference Championship matches will be free. Memphis will also host the men's conference championship tournament the same weekend.
