Tigers Rifle No. 9 In 2015-16 Final National Poll

Memphis ranked in poll's top-10 13 of 14 weeks.
MURRAY, Ky. – The University of Memphis rifle team nearly made it wire-to-wire among the nation's top-10 in 2015-16, coming in at the No. 9 spot in the final Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll. The Tigers were ranked No. 10 in the 2015-16 preseason poll released in mid-September.
Out of the 14 weeks the CRCA poll was released, the Tigers were ranked in the top-10 in 13 of them, including the final poll. Memphis' highest ranking this season was No. 6 in the Oct. 13 poll. The lone week the Tigers dropped out of the top-10 was Nov. 10. That week, Memphis was ranked No. 12.
Memphis closed the 2015-16 season in the poll's No. 9 spot for six-straight weeks.
West Virginia, which claimed its fourth-straight NCAA title in early March, finished the season ranked No. 1. TCU, the 2015-16 NCAA runner-up, was No. 2 in the poll, followed by No. 3 Murray State.
All nine Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs were among those ranked in the season's final poll, with West Virginia at No. 1, followed by No. 5 Kentucky, No. 8 Nebraska, No. 9 Memphis, No. 11 N.C. State, No. 13 Army, No. 14 Navy, No. 15 Ole Miss and No. 16 Akron.
