Men's Golf Travels to Vero Beach for Quail Valley Intercollegiate

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The Memphis Tigers start their next-to-last tournament of the fall season on Monday morning (7:30 a.m. CT) at the 2016 Quail Valley Intercollegiate, hosted by McNeese State University.

THIS SEASON
The Tigers are led this season by senior Sydney Chung, who has a 74.3 stroke per round average, while JC Campbell is just behind at 74.9. Kevin Lee's 75.3 and Chase Harris' 75.7 put the Tigers with four players averaging under 76 strokes per round this year, while Nick Giles is just off of the pace at 76.1 strokes per round.

LAST EVENT
At the second annual Mountaineer Intercollegiate hosted by the University of West Virginia with a 10th place finish, shooting rounds of 303, 290, and 302 for the tournament. Sydney Chung led the team by placing 23rd overall, while Kevin Lee shot a 225 for 39th overall. Chase Harris and JC Campbell rounded out the top for for the Tigers with tournament scores of 226 (45th) and 230 (56th), as Nick Giles shot a 232, tying him for 61st overall.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Last season the Tigers placed fifth of 15 teams at the evnet, and finished the tournament seven strokes under par, and nine strokes out of the lead.

Lars van Meijel tied for second with rounds of 68-69 and 69 - the only player in the field with all three rounds below 70. Thomas Perrot placed in a tie for sixth with a four-under 212.
