Gabrielle Paul Named Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Junior earns first career honor after 2-0 start in singles and doubles.
MEMPHIS – Memphis women's tennis player Gabrielle Paul is off to a 2-0 start in both singles and doubles play and was named The American Athletic Conference women's tennis player of the week on Tuesday. It's the first career honor for Paul and is the first women's weekly award of the season.
The women's tennis team is off to a 1-1 start on the year and next faces #17 Ole Miss on the road in Oxford on Saturday, Feb. 6th at noon. Paul teamed with sophomore Tara McElroy for a pair of wins at No. 3 doubles in the first two outings of the season and she has not dropped a set in a pair of wins at No. 6 singles.
Memphis will return home to host #45 Purdue, Sunday, Feb. 7th at the University Club of Memphis.
