Tigers 12th as Tournament Play Suspended Monday

Old Waverly Collegiate Championship Concludes Tuesday
Thunderstorms forced a late start while weather and darkness led to the suspension of play late Monday at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship in West Point, Miss.
Memphis' golfers had all reached the halfway point of their second round at the time of play being suspended and will start Tuesday with the team tied for 12th. The Tigers set at +11 for the tournament but within seven strokes of sixth place Kansas.
Ole Miss is five-under par for its second round and has taken the lead from first-round leader UAB which shot a 285 Monday morning and began the second round with a one-stroke lead. The Rebels are currently seven-under for the tournament and have a three-stroke lead over the No. 41-ranked Blazers. No. 47 Florida is three-under for the tournament and in third place.
Thomas Perrot Is the Memphis golfer currently with the highest standing at the tournament. He fired a one-under par 71 for the opening round and is currently two-over par through 12 holes of his second round. Perrot is tied for 25th.
Perrot began his second round with an eagle on No. 10 and also had birdies on two of the first five holes of the second round but two bogeys and a pair of double bogeys has left him at +2.
Play picks up at 8:30 a.m. at the Mississippi State-hosted tournament on Tuesday.
