Tigers Look to Improve on 13th Place Standing

Memphis shot a two-round score of 596 (305-291) on Monday and is currently in 13th place at the Valspar Collegiate. The Tigers will look to improve on their current standing Tuesday when the field takes on the Floridian National Golf Club course for the final 18 holes of golf.
Louisiana State, ranked No. 14 in the latest Golfstat.com poll, shot a 15-under 553 during Monday's 36 holes to take a one stroke lead in the tournament which includes seven of the nation's top 20 teams. No. 2 Florida State shot a 554 and is currently second.
Texas A&M's Greg Yates shot back-to-back 67s and with a two-round 134, has a two stroke tournament lead.
Memphis' Thomas Perrot rebounded from a first round 77 to fire a 69 Monday afternoon to climb into a tie for 32nd in the individual standings. He made a 19-position improvement from the first round with his two-under par, second round.
