Temple's win today ties the series at 7-7.
All 14 meetings between Memphis and Temple have been decided by 10 or fewer points. The average margin of victory in the series is 5.3 points.
Today's game was the first conference postseason tournament meeting between Memphis and Temple.
Today's contest was second overall postseason meeting between the two programs. Memphis defeated the Owls 78-77 in the 2002 NIT semifinal round at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
