Fister, Lee receive conference accolades for second-consecutive year.
OXFORD, Miss. - University of Memphis' Haylea Broughton, Amy Fister and Beth Lee all earned Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) honors at the league's annual championships this weekend.
Broughton, a freshman, was named All-GARC honorable mention in air rifle, and Fister, a sophomore, earned league honorable mention recognition in smallbore. It is the second-consecutive year that Fister received All-GARC honorable mention accolades in smallbore.
For a second-straight year, Lee, a junior, was named a GARC Scholar-Athlete.
Earlier this season, Broughton set a school record in air rifle with a 596 against Kentucky Jan. 18. She took air rifle titles in matches against N.C. State Jan. 17 and Kentucky Jan. 18.
Fister shot a season-high 582 in smallbore twice against Army Oct. 13 and at the Withrow Invitational Jan. 25. She won the smallbore versus Army and placed eighth in the discipline at the Withrow Invitational.
Lee, who shot a season-high 1174 aggregate score at the Nov. 23 Gamecock Invitational, has earned University of Memphis Dean's List honors all five semesters of her academic career.
