With tonight’s win, Memphis now holds a 2-1 series lead over Jacksonville State.
Tonight’s game was the first meeting between the two programs since the 1938-39 campaign (Feb. 10, 1939; 47-43 Jacksonville State win) – a span of 76 seasons ago.

Memphis is now 111-65 all-time versus members of the Ohio Valley Conference.
The Tigers now are 30-4 (.882 winning percentage) against first-time visitors to FedExForum under head coach Josh Pastner. Memphis was 7-1 against first-time visitors to FedExForum in 2014-15.
Tonight’s game was the Tigers’ second non-conference contest played during the conference portion of the schedule (Jan./Feb.). Since 2003-04, Memphis is 22-8 (.733 winning percentage) in non-league games played in January/February.
With tonight’s win, Memphis pulled closer to win No. 400 in the 21st century. The Tigers have 396 wins since 2000-01, the third-most at the NCAA Division I level. Only Duke and Kansas have 400 wins or more since 2000-01.

Shaq Goodwin and Calvin Godfrey each grabbed his 500th career rebound with his first board of the game. Goodwin now has 506 career rebounds, while Godfrey has 503.
