- With today's win, Memphis now leads the all-time series 21-3.
- The Tigers have won the last eight meetings in the series. The last Bulls' win came in the 2002-03 season, a 75-74 victory at The Pyramid in Memphis (Jan. 18, 2003)
- Memphis now is 8-1 against the Bulls when playing in Tampa, Fla. The Tigers have won their last six visits to the USF Sun Dome.

- Memphis head coach Josh Pastner, USF head coach Orlando Antigua and USF assistant coach Rod Strickland all were on the Tigers 2008-09 staff. That 2008-09 team went 33-4 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen.

- The Tigers defense held USF to 0-of-7 from the three-point line. The last time Memphis held an opponent to no three-pointers was USF in last year's game in Tampa. In that 88-73 Tigers win on Dec. 31, 2013, the Bulls were 0-of-9 from the arc.
- Memphis was 7-of-19 from the three-point arc vs. USF. It was the 480th-consecutive game in which the Tigers hit at least one three-pointer. The last time Memphis failed to hit a three-pointer was vs. Alabama in November of 2001.
- USF started the second half 5-of-5 from the field. From that points, the Bulls were 5-of-17 (29.4 percent) from the floor in the second half.
- Memphis out-rebounded USF by a 37-33 margin. The Tigers now are 13-5 when out-rebounding their opponent.

- D'Marnier Cunningham played a season-high 27 minutes today. He also had a season-high three steals and tied a season best with three rebounds.
- Shaq Goodwin just missed his fourth double-double of the season with 18 points and nine boards vs. USF today.
- Shaq Goodwin recorded his 10th double-figure scoring game of the season today.
- Shaq Goodwin is averaging 13.8 ppg and 12.8 rpg in the last four games.
- Avery Woodson netted 11 points today. It was his ninth double-figure scoring game of the season.
- Avery Woodson hit three three-pointers today. It was the 16th game in which he hit two or more treys this season.
- Austin Nichols missed the second-straight game of his career Saturday after suffering a sprained right ankle late in the Tigers' Feb. 7 game vs. Temple. Prior to the last two Memphis contests, Nichols had started 57-straight games.
