Nov 15, 2015 | Men's Basketball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's basketball team plays host to the nationally-rankedOklahoma Sooners on Tuesday, November 17 at 4 p.m. at FedExForum. The Memphis vs. Oklahoma game is part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon, and will be nationally broadcast on the flagship station of the ESPN network.
Because of the 4 p.m. start time, Pouncer, the Tigers' mascot, is encouraging all fans to get out of work early to attend the game and root for the home team. The "Pouncer Pardon" is a note from Pouncer that excuses fans from their previous engagements so they can attend the game. "Pouncer Pardons" will be readily available to the whole community.
"I strongly encourage everyone that can attend to be part of this special game against a nationally-ranked opponent," said Athletic Director Tom Bowen. "We will be on a national broadcast and we need Tiger Nation to generate an amazing home court atmosphere."
As part of this special event, the Memphis athletic department will also be hosting the Zooperstars for a halftime performance sure to bring a smile to the entire crowd. The Zooperstars have performed all across North America in front of college, NBA, NHL, MLB and soccer crowds.
Season, mini-plan and single-game tickets are available now by calling 901-678-2331 or visiting GoTigersGo.com.
