Memphis Ranked No. 25 by Amway Coaches Poll

Tigers also garner votes in AP Poll
The University of Memphis is ranked No. 25 in the latest Amway Coaches Poll announced on Sunday.
Memphis, 5-0 for the first time in 54 years and riding an unprecedented 12-game win streak dating back to 2014, received 68 points, leaping from nine spots outside of the Top 25 to the No. 25 spot this week in the poll.
The Amway Coaches Poll is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of head coaches at FBS schools who have indicated to the American Football Coaches Association their willingness to participate.
Memphis is nationally ranked for the first time since being ranked No. 25 in both the final AP Top 25 and Amway Coaches Polls following the 2014 season. Memphis was also ranked No. 25 in the AP Top 25 in-season weekly poll released on Sept. 12, 2004.
Also on Sunday, Memphis received 19 points for the AP Top 25 Poll. The point total tied Memphis for the 30th-most points in the other nationally-recognized poll with Navy. Two other American Athletic Conference programs, both Houston and Temple, are also undefeated this season and ranked just ahead of the Tigers in number of points received in the AP poll.
Memphis has a bye week before returning to action Oct. 17 against Ole Miss. Kickoff will be announced by the American's broadcast television partners at some point in the coming week.
