Memphis Drops Regular Season Finale to Tulsa

First half red card put Memphis at an early disadvantage.
Memphis couldn't recover from a first half red card as the Tigers lost 3-0 to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the regular season finale Saturday at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

Sophomore defender Carlos Hurtado received a red card in the 18th minute of a scoreless match. Memphis was able to hold off Tulsa initially after the ejection but the Golden Hurricane got a goal in the 30th minute to break the deadlock

Tulsa would go on to score two more goals in the second half to seal the victory over Memphis.

The Tigers earned the No. 7 seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament and will travel to No. 2 USF for the quarterfinals next Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
