- Despite tonight’s loss, Memphis stills leads the all-time series 6-3.
- Gonzaga’s win tonight ended the Tigers’ two-game win streak in the series.
- Gonzaga won for the first time in the series when playing in Spokane. Memphis had won the previous three games played in Spokane in 2007, 2009 and 2011.
- Tonight’s game was Memphis’ first visit to the McCarthey Athletic Center, Gonzaga’s on-campus arena. The Tigers’ previous three visits were played at the Spokane Arena in downtown Spokane.

- With tonight’s win, Gonzaga pulled even with Memphis for the most wins since 2000-01 at the NCAA Division I level. Both programs have 395 victories since 2000-01. Memphis and Gonzaga trail only Duke and Kansas on that chart.
- Memphis’ record against top-10 foes on the road fell to 6-26 in the modern era of college basketball (since World War II). The Tigers are 1-18 against top-10 non-conference opponents on the road since World War II.
- The Tigers had only 10 turnovers vs. Gonzaga. The 10 turnovers tied for the third-fewest in a game this season.
- With their 10 turnovers tonight, the Tigers have averaged only 8.0 turnovers in their last two games.

- Austin Nichols tied a career high with three steals vs. Gonzaga.
- Markel Crawford handed out a season-high five assists vs. Gonzaga.
- Austin Nichols scored 12 points tonight for his 17th double-figure scoring game of the season. It is his 14th double-digit performance in last 15 games, including four straight.
- Austin Nichols had no blocks in tonight’s game vs. Gonzaga. It was the first time this season that he did not register a block.
- Trahson Burrell finished with eight points and nine rebounds tonight, nearly missing another double-double. It is the fourth time this season he has grabbed nine rebounds in a game.
